PAM Announces 40 Under 40 Initiative to Identify the Future Generation of Malaysian Architectural Talents

This programme is a continuation of PAM’s highly successful “30 under 40” project, which was established in 2011 and featured Malaysia’s next generation of innovative architecture talents who have subsequently made important contributions to the industry.
The 40 under 40 programme is accessible to all PAM Corporate and Graduate members, and all entries must include five projects, two completed works and three design works. The submissions will be judged by a distinguished Jury Panel that includes PAM President Assoc. Prof. (Ind.) Ar. Sarly Adre Sarkum, KLAF2023 Director Ar. Adj. Norzaini bin Mufti, Eminent Architect Ar. Wooi Lok Kuang, PAM Past President Ar. Boon Che Wee, and Award winning architect & Academician Ar. Tan Bee Eu.
This is an opportunity for 40 registered and graduate architects under the age of 40 to submit important works for recognition. The selected pieces will be honoured and commemorated in an exhibition and magazine.
PAM President Assoc. Prof. (Ind.) Ar. Sarly Adre Sarkum stated, “The 40 under 40 programme is a wonderful chance to highlight Malaysia’s greatest young architectural talents. We are searching for architects that are pushing the boundaries of design and innovation and have the capacity to impact Malaysian architecture’s future.”
The 40 under 40 initiative is an important aspect of PAM’s efforts to raise public awareness of Malaysian architecture as a whole and to identify the next generation of Malaysian innovative architects who will shape the future living and working environments.
