“DISCOVER 2 under the sub-theme EXTEND, took around 50 participants to the vibrant Kasturi Walk at the iconic Central Market; a flea market located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, known for its rich Malay ambience and a wide array of affordable items.
Participants were immersed in the experience of the city’s architectural heritage and cultural vibrancy of Central Market that was once a traditional wet market where traders sold dried fish, fruits, and vegetables, now standing as a bustling flea market. The market’s kite sign at the entrance is a symbol of its transformation, welcoming visitors to explore its diverse offerings, from clothing and shoes to Asian snacks and local handicrafts.
The sketchwalk series is an initiative by KLAF2023, KL Sketch Nation, and PAM to engage the community in appreciating the city’s architectural landscape through the art of sketching.”
