PAM Members are invited to participate the KLAF2023 Marker Competition

The KLAF2023 Marker Competition is an open architecture, art, and creative science competition to commemorate Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia’s 100th anniversary (PAM). The competition is only open to PAM Members who have a current membership. The goal is to design a distinctive, innovative, and long-lasting commemorative marker to be permanently displayed at PAM Centre.

The competition’s final form could range from a sculpture to installation, painting, relic, plaque, mural, or even a symbol could be considered. The sole restriction is that it must be installable and permanently displayed at the PAM Centre.

Each member is limited to two entries, each with its own entry cost. Collaboration/group entries are allowed, but must include a registered PAM Member on their team who will be responsible for the entry. The KLAF2023 Organising Committee is ineligible to compete in this competition. The Master Jury shall have sole and final authority over the acceptance or rejection of all entries.

The Jurors will consider the following criteria for judging: creativity, uniqueness, and originality; strong concept and story; constructability within the given time and budget; sustainability in line with the GBI Platinum rating of the existing PAM Centre; and ease of maintenance and material practicality.

The entry cost for the competition is RM200.00 (Ringgit Malaysia Two Hundred Only). The competition gives a fantastic opportunity for participants to demonstrate their creativity and design talents while marking PAM’s 100th anniversary in conjunction with “KLAF2023”
