The ‘OPEN WORK’ Provides a Glimpse Into the Inner Workings of Architectural Offices

‘OPEN WORK’ program provide graduate architects and architects, as well as members of the general public who want to learn more about the architectural profession an opportunity to learn about the internal workings of an architectural office and studio. The program’s idea is to bring various parties together, including practitioners, users, and students, to raise knowledge of the significance that architects play in the community. Attendees will be able to learn more about the processes and techniques used in architecture by touring the respective offices and practises.
Some of the activities for ‘OPEN WORK’ program may include dialogue, talks, office tours, mini-workshops, project mentoring and other engagement activities along with refreshments after. The program’s seats are limited due to the restrictions of the practice workspace and RSVP is the only way to register for the programme, which is free.
The ‘OPEN WORK’ program was inspired by similar events held in other countries, such as the Open House London event. It aims to provide attendees with a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn from industry professionals and gain insights into the architecture profession.
The Open Work started off with A.Askandar Architects as the first session, followed by MJ Kanny Architect. The third open work shall be this Friday 17th March 2023 and the Open Work programme shall continue after the Hari Raya holidays. We are as excited as the host to host this event and welcome attendees old and new to join us!
